Kelly Sawdon is a Partner at Ace Hotel Group and Atelier Ace, and was acting Chief Brand Officer from 2007-2020. Under her leadership, Ace Hotel and its subsequent portfolio brands cemented itself as synonymous with culturally visionary hospitality in cities across North America, Europe and Asia. She joined Ace in 2007 following a position as Global Director of Production at the Ace-affiliated event company Neverstop, which pioneered the concept of experiential marketing and specialized in brand strategy, events, and multimedia. At Ace, Sawdon built and oversaw Atelier Ace, the award-winning in-house design and creative studio responsible for branding, marketing, retail, food & beverage, programming, interior design and architecture, development and operations.
David Vialli is a Partner at ALUM where he has led acquisitions, strategic partnerships, and established operational infastructure. He started his career as a bellman at the Portland Marriott Downtown and spent the last two decades working for some of the most critically-acclaimed hospitality brands. He played a pivotal role in the launch of Hoxton Hotels across North America and contributed to the launch and success of Ian Schrager’s EDITION hotels. He served as the Managing Director of the iconic Los Angeles Standard Hotels and spearheaded Asset Management for NBP Capital’s hospitality portfolio. He has been instrumental in the launch and growth of some of the most iconic lifestyle hotel brands.
Carrington has spent over 20 years in the hospitality industry working with some of the most critically acclaimed brands. She began her career in the financial service industry having worked at Prudential Investments and Bear Stearns in financial reporting before moving over to The Carlyle and Highgate Hotels. In 2008 Carrington joined Ace Hotel Group to open the Ace Hotel New York. She was instrumental in the brands growth from four hotels in 2009 to fifteen hotels including four different brands. She began her career as property controller and eventually became VP of Finance for Ace Hotel Group. When she left she was overseeing ten different finance teams in 4 countries and oversaw over $120M in revenues.
Lane Sanders graduated from The University of Chicago Law School and practiced corporate law at Simpson, Thacher & Bartlett in New York City where her practice included work in M&A, credit and banking, and capital markets. There, she participated in the successful closing of several multi-billion dollar acquisition financing deals. Subsequently, she was an associate at Tonkon Torp LLP in Portland, Oregon, focusing on general corporate practice, with a concentrated focus on a small number of clients. Thereafter, she co-founded a boutique law firm, Ybarra pllc, in Austin, Texas where she remains Of Counsel. Lane founded a popular bar in Brooklyn and worked with some of New York City’s top real estate developers as a commercial broker. Lane was Chief Operating Officer and Chief Hospitality Officer of Texino, a venture-backed outdoor lifestyle and manufacturing company. During her tenure, Texino grew from 7 to 160 employees at its peak at which point they did everything from constructing hundreds of camper and medical vans to operating a highly successful van rental business.
